As a combat veteran and a Regular Army retiree I know firsthand of the sacrifices my brothers and sisters of the Armed Forces make every day in defense of our great nation and our way of life. In appreciation for all the sacrifices that our members of the armed forces make every day especially as a nation at war on two fronts, the Kenai Cache Outfitters is proud to offer to our members of the Armed Forces and, yes Veterans, a special rate of $99 per person for a half day of fishing on the Upper Kenai River or $29 per person for a 2 hour scenic rafting trip.

Float and fish or just float the upper stretch of the river for approximately 9 rivers miles of the most scenic section of the river that is untouched by man and is in its pristine natural state. The trips are approximately 4 hours in duration. We will also process anything that you choose to keep to take home and enjoy at a later time. Enjoy the beauty of the ice blue waters while fishing for Rainbow Trout, Dollie Varden Char or Sockeye salmon.

We offer both conventional and fly fishing opportunities for the beginner to the most advance anglers around.

Take advantage of the opportunity to also view the ever present wildlife along the river as well. Often we see brown bears, black bears, eagles, Mergansers, ducks, river otters and moose. Of course these opportunities are subject to the participation of our local wildlife.

Our scenic rafting trips are approximately 2 hours in duration and covers 9 miles of the Upper Kenai River. These trips are dry and comfortable and suitable for all ages. So sit back and relax as your guide shares with you a few things about the area.

Fishing trips begin on June 11 th 2011 through the 1 st of October 2011. Scenic rafting trips are available from June 1 st through October 1 st 2011. Advance reservations required.
